My bathroom is in the back of the house, and since I back onto a river, there is nobody back there to see anything, I haven't bothered with curtains. My back yard is currently *way* overgrown, as I haven't had the time to get back there yet this year.

Usually there are a few squirrels, in the evening a raccoon or two, assorted songbirds, a passing neighborhood cat - maybe some geese once in a while making their way to and from the river. I live in the suburbs. Not rural suburbs like where my folks live - they have a ton of deer pass through their yard of a regular basis, some fox, maybe a passing coyote. I just get the small stuff. I'm not close enough to any large tracts of open land to get anything big.

Getting ready for the day, just washed my face, standing in the bathroom. I hear a distinctive cry and in total disbelief (I did *not* just hear what I think I did, did I?) I turn to the window. Calm as you please, there is an absolutely *ginormous* Tom turkey. Wild turkey? HERE?

Huh. He kind of stands around a bit, and then wanders off in the general direction of downstream and the river.

So weird!
