So have any of you ever thought that life would be so much pleasanter, more pleasant, better all the way around if you could LJ cut people? Just, y'know, put a cut tag around some people so you can scroll on by them without bothering to look under the cut tag? The text of the cut tag could give you the jist, and you could make an informed decision of whether or not to "click" them.
Maybe they are being spoilery. Or maybe they are going into TMI country in great detail (wow, so didn't need that information on your [fill in the blank bit of bodily function/psychological issue/family problem]). Or maybe they are just nattering your ear off and you are just not that interested. Wouldn't it be nice if we could just filter out all that crap?
Yeah. LJ cuts for real life.
How cool would that be?

Thanks!
Other blogs have auto functions where it's easy to have a header and then the main body underneath where you have to click a link to see it. Here, you have to use HTML to do so right? (That's how I use cuts). Maybe if they had a software program (I use LochJournal) that gave you two sections...one that appeared on their page and the other that automatically cut it?
And, from my perspective, unless it's a 300 question quiz that someone posts without a cut OR those darn Twitter feeds that, surprise surprise, belong on Twitter and not on LJ, then I have no problem with most of it.
So, how do I cut this comment in your comments section so you'd only have to read the first sentence? :-) It pretty much said everything I wanted to say... ;)
