I am unpacking from my trip and foud a flyer from TSA saying they had physically searched my bag. Wanna know what, more than likely, flagged my bag for them to search?
The four heavy silver and rubber wine bottle stoppers that were wedding-guest favours from my cousin's wedding. Why four you ask? I was carrying my own, each of my parent's, and my brother's. I *always* check my bag because I go nowhere without scissors, and you can't take scissors on the plane (and the times I *have* travelled without scissors? regret it! they make life so much easier!). They *never* check their bags, so I became the wedding-guest gift carrier. Plus I have these hair adornments that have spiky metal, well, spikes. So between the two, they opened my bag and felt up all my dirty clothing.
They must not have disturbed much, because if it weren't for the flyer, I wouldn't have known. They probably saw the bizarre outline of these metal *things* with points on one end and thought "what the heck *is* that" and just had to find out. I put them in the outside top pocket just for that reason - easy to get to y'know.
