Saturday I kinda didn't do a heck of a lot. I went to look at boots for this winter, because I've come to the conclusion my winter weather wear is lacking. Also, a new coat wouldn't go amiss, either. I didn't actually buy anything but groceries, although there is a pretty sweet pair of boots that are weatherproof that I like. If the grow on me I may get them, but I am not quite ready to plonk down money for them quite yet.

I also have mostly planned out my entry for Project Wizard. I have to sketch it out, write it up and send it in. I've got a couple of weeks, though, so I need to use my time well. I have a facebook account, and people I knew in high school are slowly coming out of the woodwork. There is a facebook for my brother's class, but since they have a reunion next month, that is not so surprising. My reunion is next year. Scary. Been out of that school nearly 20 years. One of my HS friends oldest will be 17 in exactly a month. He just got his learner's permit.

I am feeling quite old right now.

I spent the afternoon with my mom. We basically sat and talked politics, life, and everything related. B is a GIRL with a capital G-I-R-L. She is very into fairies, and clothes, and pink. G is not. G is a like a mini, feminized version of my brother. She loves art and soccer (scored 12 goals in her first game, mostly because she seemed to be the only one to understand the game in any way shape or form. They're six and seven years old.) - in fact she dropped ballet for soccer. B loves ballet. L mostly drools - but then he is teething. He's started to laugh, and he looks so much like his mother.

The days may top in the low fifties, but the nights get down to the thirties (sometimes the twenties). I turned the heat on to 64 to take the edge off and slept better last night than I have for a while. I guess there is such a think as too cold when sleeping.

Yeah - a high school friend made get one about a year or so ago. I didn't really do much with it, and then my cousins found me (I hear you about keeping up with photos! That is the one cool thing about facebook) and some more people from high school. Fandom folks are finding me now... It really is a weird mix of random people -- tiny groups who know a few others and then lots of complete strangers to eachother. I kinda find facebook a clunky interface. And there is so much you can't really do *satisfactorily* if you know what I mean.

I kinda prefer LJ, actually. But besides the fandom folks, none of the rest of them blog. And some of them I wouldn't want to read my LJ anyway.

I prefer LJ too, although I've been favoring Twitter recently because it's easy and doesn't take much work. I just had a cousin I never met find me today, and I think he was a bit confused about how my name came up when he searched for a different last name. At least Facebook is superficial enough that I don't mind mixing fandom and RL.

I like Facebook for the various word games though - my neighbor and I were playing Word Twist quite a bit during the summer, and it's a good way to pass the time. :)
