cattraine, has taken a job in a High School library. Her school district is one of the poorest in Colorado, and the library has been neglected for ages. She is looking for donations of high school age appropriate material - magazine subscriptions, books, DVDs and how-to manuals. She's put a wish list out on her LJ and looks to be getting a healthy response!

My own high school was in one of the wealthiest areas, and I can't image a school library that is missing much of this list. She mentions most of the kids will likely not make it to college, but vocational and trade programming. So any books on cooking, woodworking, computers, landscaping/gardening, etc.
Any books you are getting rid of, lately? Pass them on! She's got instructions on how to get their address in the post.
