The patterns were so easy - they are "method" quilts, not blocks. And G's didn't quite turn out as planned, but it was kind of better than the original thought. For B's the "braids" went together really well, but I didn't want to sew them directly together. I thought the use of the black to "suspend" the color runs would work well.
And yeah - they are both backed in flannel, so they are cozy to curl up with! I know how much G loves hers. B is a little more reticent (also being younger, not as articulate).
Ahhh. It's so crisp and the piecing looks so tidy. :) And I like your 'rescue' of G's, esp as it doesn't seem like a rework at all. Agree on the suspended braids. Nice.
