Slave to my Job

So I am off to Chicago on Friday for eight days. Until then, I have a major Job Thing and the prep and clean up of said Thing (besides even packing and getting everything ready to go - I'm not finished with my prep for Prophecy yet, so I've also got a bit of that still to do).

So I will be in Chicago for the release of Deathly Hallows. I have a book reserved at the Borders two blocks from the hotel, so hopefully I'll find some time to wander in that direction. I don't know when I will have time to read it, though. A chapter at a time, perhaps. I'll take my Lumos bag and carry it about with me.

And then I have eight days of 12-16 hour days. In Prague I had worked a 40 hour week by Tuesday morning at 8:30am. I wonder how this meeting will stack up. We will have one more person than we had in Prague, two more by the end of the week. Both attending their very first meeting. So hopefully their learning curve will be high, and they will relieve some of the stress on the rest of us.

So I am going to be tremendously busy for the next few days - if you can't find me online, you know why!

I am hoping to see Gwen tonight, though. That'll be nice.

Shit - what time will you be in Chicago on Friday? I'm flying in to land around 8:30am, tho I'll be whisking away to The Farm around 5:30.

Well, Damn! Chicago, Chicago -- I land around noonish (11:37am so says the itinerary). And then bags!

Right - your farm-time fun-time! I remember you saying - I must have missed the fly-to-Chicago-to-get-there bit! What're the odds?

Hunh. I'm not sure that'd be enough time to have a look at you before I'd have to report to sis' place to be driven away. :P Mebbe, tho, if everything was timed PERFECTLY.

Yeah - ships passing and all that. Where is your sister's place (and when do you report there?)? (like I know Chicago at ALL! *faceplam*).

I'm staying at the Palmer House Hilton for the week. Do you come *back* through Chicago?

Just to know we are in the same zip code for about five hours is cool, tho!

And we are so made of AWESOME that Chicago should fear us!

More depends on what airport you are flying into. If it's Midway, that's pretty much out. O'hare might be workable.

I do not come back thru Chicago -- I'll be driving a truck to finally move some of my things to nyc! \o/ I'm not bringing much but hey, better than nothing. :)
