I read that book back in college, and it has stayed with me - in fact I read it twice - once before the class we were to study it in began and then again with the rest of the class.
So when they started on CM discussing what the girls were covered in and drowned in, I was all like "serial killer distilling the scent of girl! Just like in Perfume!"
That he was making candles was kind of a creepy twist, though!
Girl-scented candles, definitely a bizarre concept. I really liked this ep, although I'm not 100% sure about Emily's backstory. At least this one didn't have substitute!JJ.
