Hacking up the Tylenol you just took because your throat is so sore and swollen it didn't actually go down the first time HURTS. Don't do it. This is why you *have* the liquid children's Tylenol. For the sake of your poor aching throat, suck it up and take the kids stuff, OMG.

I *know*! What the hell was that, I wanted to know. The whole time I was hacking it up (pleasant visual, I know) all I kept thinking about were those stories I used to read about magicians and the keys to their shackles they kept down their throats so they could cough it up and unlock themselves... weird mental connections, I know.

I'm just glad they make liquid Tylenol, even if it is for kids!

Yeah, me neither. I went to the doctor a couple of days ago to rule out strep - since my throat is still killing me. Not strep (both rapid and sent out tests came back negative). My doctor said it was likely a fast moving virus I got early last week that just left behind a whole bunch of horrible symptoms. I asked about my flight home on Saturday, she said I was long over being contagious by the time I flew home, so I did not spread this far and wide. But I likely picked it up on my flight out (blech - one reason to hate travel).

I think the flight home didn't help (pressure changes - man were they painful!), and drove the fluid into my ears, because they haven't stopped aching, either.

So while you and yours could not get this from me when I saw you, I am still dealing with the last of it. And probably only because last week was so generally exhausting that I'm still feeling kind of like crap. I *do* feel a bit better. But I can't wait to feel genuinely *good* again.
