I so completely don't understand the person who goes by the name of "Lady Gaga." Watching the AMAs as it is brainless so I can sort of do three other things at once. I enjoyed the Alicia Keyes and Jay-Z ode to New York. Shakira was at the edge of me going "huh?" Rhianna was a bit too much, but I can sort of see why she is popular. (JLo? Really? What the hell is that? The whole boxing metaphor DOES NOT SCAN.)
I so don't understand. Maybe its because I don't generally go to concerts, so I usually only see videos if that. Concerts come out of the same budget as theatre, and sorry, but theatre wins hands down every single time.
Other things that make me feel old - M, the oldest child of friends of mine from HS turned eighteen. His gift to himself is a tattoo - he sits for it tomorrow. And as his mother pointed out "November is no shave month" he was wearing a scruffy beard-esque *thing* on his face. His littlest cousin (at least for the next couple of months - his Aunt is about to drop her first in the new year) - all of 22 months old thinks he is "the scary one."
Old and crotchety. That's me.
