So after Azkatraz I promptly caught a cold. We are unsurprised. I was in close contact with over a thousand people for a whole weekend, and topped it off by public transportation, and a full airplane ride home. I could have picked up this stupid little bug *anywhere*!
But summer colds suck in ways winter colds do not - and I don't know if it is the summer heat that makes you feel crappier then you do when it is colder out.
But this is the moistest cold I've ever had. I've gone through two boxes of tissues and two full rolls of toilet paper in the last four days with the constant blowing of my nose. And to add insult to injury amongst all this misery, I also got my period. So on top of the leaking mucous, watery eyes, and croaking cough, I also get to deal with the backache and crabbiness that accompanies my monthly visitor (only four days early this time).
Way to make me feel gross in whole new ways, world. Thanks.
Needless to say I did not go to the ophthalmologist on Monday as was the plan. I decided not to inflict my most likely contagious self on their office. I shall have to reschedule.
