The area around the hotel is rife with places to eat. A couple of nights ago we ate dinner at a lovely Spanish restaurant ("B44" for locals). I am losing my voice by inches - it is now quite low and raspy, cracking all over the place. Shades of Phoebe and smelly cat/sexy voice.
Other than this, we've eaten a couple of times at a local diner, and Humberto was our waiter both times, he rocks! And he recognized us right away - even remembered our preferences.
The hotel is ginormous, and spread way far out. I am staying in Tower Two - and the meeting rooms span from Tower One to Tower Three.
Last night, we went to a wine BoF in the Imperial Suite - which is the presidential suite for the hotel. This suite is a two floor, two bedroom, four bath, absolutely gorgeous. It has a kitchenette upstairs and down, it has near-panoramic views of the city in the upstairs, and the master bath is lavish - both a shower stall and a jacuzzi tub. Plus a wrap around balcony. Amazing.
Anyway, registration is going well. Over a thousand people checked in already. Although, I somehow missed lunch this afternoon. Is it worth it to go now? I just don't know.
