I just found out that this weekend, my college advisor is receiving an award for "Unique and Outstanding Achievements." She was a professor of theatre for many many years at my college, and I was lucky enough to have her advising me my junior and senior years. I directed a play for my senior Independent Study, and so was under her tutelage. She directed me in two different productions while I was at school, "Our Town," where I played Mrs. Gibbs (the doctor's wife) and "Antony and Cleopatra" where I was Octavia Cesar, sister to Cesar and wife to Antony (played by the same fellow who played Doc Gibbs in "Our Town, btw).

Miss Annetta is being honored with the Ohioana Pegasus Award this weekend. This award is "given to recognize unique or outstanding contributions or achievements in the arts and humanities."

So congratulations, Miss Annetta, I know you changed my life for good - and for the better! And Gwen, this weekend while you are off working and playing in San Fran, drink a toast to her for me, will ya? I can think of no one more appropriate to do so. Thank goodness for Miss Annetta!
