I cannot believe that Thanksgiving is next week! This year went way too quickly. So I have relatives coming for the holiday... And my parents (after many years) are finally creating "guest" rooms. One will have twin-sized beds in it for both guests and granddaughters. My uncle and two cousins (a married pair) will be coming in and staying with my folks. I can't remember if these particular cousins have met my nieces or not... Should be tons of fun.
They are likely going to be driving home on Saturday since both cousins are teachers, and they could probably use Sunday to rest before facing their middle school/high school students - so my mom is trying to figure out when we can fit my birthday in. Officially, my birthday is the Sunday following Thanksgiving. But I think we're going to "celebrate" it on the Friday... Which suits me fine. I could use my actual birthday to do something indulgent just for me. Or, y'know hibernate like a bear.
If Gwen isn't traveling back from wherever she might go for Thanksgiving (if, indeed, she doesn't come to my family's celebration of the holiday) we are likely to get into trouble together. Maybe I'll take over the world for my thirty-sixth birthday.
Is that an unreasonable goal?
