Yes! I love the long nights, too! Crunching leaves! Although I have a lot of oak in my backyard, so the Great Acorn Fall is happening on my roof - They hit and bounce a couple of times, and then roll down before falling off the edge of the roof.
I am always surprised at first, and have to think about what the hell that noise is every year.
