In California for the week at the mothership. Got in yesterday, and this morning at approximately 8:25 *and* 8:38 California quaked. Little baby ones, but still quakes.
Hai there! So I was not really impressed to experience my first earthquake (the first one I didn't feel because I was in motion, but the second one I felt, as I was stationary). It kinda felt the the building was SHOVED sideways - and then it was over.
Keep your quakes, I'll take the blizzards and the cold and the ice of New England.
Otherwise stuff is going well. I got the stuff for the little girl I am gifting in the office giving tree. My white elephant gift was well received, and I did not end up with the cherub vase I first chose from the pile (thank god). I ended up with spoon rest. Well, breakable, but more packable than the vase. So I am well content (although I think I would have preferred the wee Buddha).
