Yup. My home computer caught the Sasser worm. Easy fix. The hardest part was finding the time to come into work over the weekend and print out the instructions for cleaning it off my home machine. It also uninstalled my printer at home, so I had to reinstall it. Bother. But it is now sparkly clean, and working well. Which is good, because I still have stuff to print off before I go away for the weekend in a bout a week. Whee. Actually going on vacation. Short vacation (5 days altogether), but a vacation none-the-less.

I saw the first goslings on the river this weekend. Mama and Papa Canada-Goose bookended the little flotilla of babies. So w00by-cute. Come to find out my next door neighbor and her daughter have been feeding the geese all winter, to try and keep masses of geese away. This little family is kinda territorial. I didn't want to tell her that statistically, only one or two of the six babies will survive to grow up.

Their daughter hasn't gotten any bigger the last few months. She's about eighteen months old now (very preemie baby, she's got some difficulties), and she is tiny. They said the doctors have given them a diet for her to help her gain some weight. She's long and skinny. Can't find clothing to fit, because if they get something that fits the length of her leg, it falls off her butt, and if they fit her waist, it's far too short. So they are experimenting with making her clothes. Poor woman knows very little about sewing - but she seems to have picked up the basics with no trouble. Was so happy to know I sew, and she had someone to talk to - who knew more than she did. I don't think she's ever really made anything before. I suggested some fabrics that would be good. Denims, courderoys, cottons. She tried making something out of flannel and said that the minute she washed it it started to look old and worn. Well, that's flannel for you.

Other than really busy, I had a good weekend. The big dark blue wall in the livingroom is finished. I've hung the eight-pointed star wallhanging back on it, and it looks fabulous. I've moved the big TV back, and hooked it up to cable again. I hooked up my *new* DVD player to the big TV - and took the little bookcase out of the guest room and into the livingroom. And I put the painted mirror I got for my birthday from my mom up on the wall, and it looks great! I am contemplating moving the fish clock in from the kitchen, I think it would really pop against the background, but I haven't made up my mind. I am also choosing photos for that wall. Next up is to finish painting the long hallway wall the butter yellow, and of course continue cleaning out the purple room. *Sigh* it never ends.
