I was not a sobby mess - which surprised me as I got reports from everyone I know that they cried and cried and cried. Although perhaps it was that I was seeing it by myself surrounded by strangers.

Um... At only two points did I shed tears - and even though I brought three little kleenex packs, I only needed one kleenex from one pack. On the whole, I laughed and crowed and cheered more than I cried - way more.

I know. I have no soul. (and the first point I cried was when Snape showed Dumbledore his Patronus is still a doe.)

HOWEVER - Neville Longbottom YOU ARE A ROCK STAR!

Bit of a disconnect to see Luna in Hogwarts when we last saw her in the order safe house. Where the fuck did you come from, and how were you unpunished for showing up late or showing up at all?

Minerva McGonnagal - See note for Neville - YOU TOO! (and who else had glee with her when she admits she always wanted to try that spell? Such glee!)

Also - the moment of "oh shit" on Molly Weasley's face right after the "not my daughter you bitch" was a little strange. I think it SHOULD have been a "Han shot first" kind of moment. She kind of waited for Bellatrix to attack her - Molly - you just lost one kid, and another is threatened. I don't think she would have hesitated to be attacked.

Best ending we could hope for, I think. It still had the issues with the story that the book had (although some things were better in the movie - at least tighter). And I mean the epilogue still has issues (never did but the Harry+Ginny relationship through the movies - it was pretty flat - only spark we saw was when Ginny thought he was dead).

Ah, well. All done.
