Update for those following the continuing saga...

My brother is doing well after his surgery to pin/plate piece his collarbone back together. He's got a large plate and nine pins now holding him in place as he heals. Surgery went well. He asked the doctor after surgery on a scale of 1 to 10, how was the injury (one being not at all bad, and ten being one of the worst he's ever worked on). Doctor replied it was way past ten. So, my brother, who had stopped taking the pain meds during the day, and also did yard work one handed this past weekend, is back home with his wife and youngest child. The girls are on the Cape with their maternal grandparents.

I am happy he is doing well after surgery, and only hope he stays still long enough to heal before going headlong into working on various household or building projects.
